The Client

Sussex Rope Access specialises in ‘working at height’ providing services such as window cleaning, building repairs, bird-deterrents and equipment installations on tall buildings.

Rope Access offers a fast and cost-effective alternative to traditional scaffolding, and with increasing architectural trends towards high-rise buildings, this demand is set to grow. In fact, some of these buildings can only be accessed on the outside by commercial abseilers!

Despite this market opportunity, Sussex Rope Access struggled to secure the more lucrative work and were heavily dependent on window-cleaning and low-value repairs for their staple work.

We were asked to extensively review the business, the industry, the market and the competition, find new product and service opportunities; then design and implement a winning strategy.
